Maureen Hall is the Founder and CEO of COÉGA Sunwear, a brand redefining swimwear and sunwear across the Middle East and beyond. With over three decades of experience spanning aviation, fashion, and entrepreneurship, Maureen brings a unique blend of operational precision, creative vision, and a relentless commitment to customer-centric design.
Maureen’s career began high above the ground as a helicopter technician in the Canadian Airforce, where she developed her trademark resilience, leadership, and problem-solving skills. After relocating to Dubai in the late 1990s, she recognised a major gap in the market for high-quality, stylish, and sun-safe swimwear. In 2004, she launched COÉGA Sunwear from her own home, starting with a single sewing machine and an idea: to empower people of all ages to enjoy the sun with confidence and comfort.
Today, COÉGA is a leading regional brand stocked in major retailers across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and beyond. Known for its innovative fabric and inclusive sizing for children, teens, and adults, COÉGA has earned acclaim for its exceptional quality, customer understanding, and commitment to sun safety. Under Maureen’s leadership, COÉGA has expanded into over 100 retail locations and continues to champion sustainability, cultural sensitivity, and design excellence.
Maureen’s contributions have been widely recognised. She has been honoured at the Emirates Woman of the Year Awards in the Humanitarian category and has been featured in leading publications such as Images Retail ME and Emirates Woman. She is also an advocate for female entrepreneurship across the Middle East, inspiring and mentoring the next generation of women-led businesses through initiatives like Womenpreneur Middle East.
