Colin’s entrepreneurial spirit came from his time growing up on the family-owned farm. He worked on the farm to help out and would also buy vegetables at the market and resell them. After a number of summers working on the farm, he used the money to launch his first business. He remembers how his grandmother always used to say, “it’s a lot more fun to make money on your own than to make money for someone else.” This sentiment stuck with Colin, and it’s the reason why entrepreneurship came to him quickly. During his final year of university, studying for a degree in commerce with hopes of becoming a lawyer, Colin began to think seriously about what he “really wanted out of life.” Reflecting on his grandmother’s wise words, he took a leap of faith, dropped out of university, started his own business, and never looked back since.
