Alka Badshah
Founder
Anarti Therapeutics

Alka Badshah is the Founder and CEO of Anarti Therapeutics. Her journey with fibromyalgia led her to launch Anarti, a wellness company blending science-backed CBD with Ayurvedic healing traditions. Motivated by lived experience and a desire to help others manage chronic pain holistically, Alka has overseen the development of plant-based formulations supported by clinical research, including a Dabur Research Foundation study demonstrating up to a 75% reduction in pro-inflammatory cytokines.

Her multidisciplinary journey spans architecture, computer science, enterprise technology, and holistic health. Trained as an architect and later at the MIT Media Lab, where she pivoted into computer science, Alka discovered her true calling of designing systems that meet real human needs.

That philosophy led her to Microsoft during a formative time in its history. As part of Microsoft Consulting Services (MCS), Alka introduced user-centered design into enterprise-level solutions, well before UX was considered a critical business function. Her efforts not only reshaped enterprise solutions but also led to the creation of a dedicated UX team, an initiative born from user feedback and guided by her deep commitment to human-centric innovation.

Alka has spent her career at the intersection of systems thinking and social impact, with leadership roles across tech, health, and philanthropy. A passionate advocate for equity and inclusion, she has also served as a strategic advisor and investor, helping mission-driven ventures scale while remaining rooted in community.

Today, through Anarti, Alka bridges her expertise in enterprise technology with her passion for healing. She continues to speak and write about the future of innovation, one grounded not just in technological progress, but in empathy, integrity, and whole-body wellness.
