Ilja Abbattista
Speaker and Trauma and AuDHD coach
Ilja Abbattista is a trauma and AuDHD coach, speaker, and survivor-advocate dedicated to helping neurodivergent women heal, unmask, and thrive. She guides women who’ve spent years adapting to survive, to untangle overthinking, surrender the pressure to perform, and come home to their unedited selves.
Drawn to this work through her own lived experience, Ilja survived childhood abuse, exploitation, trafficking, and the lifelong effects of complex trauma before reclaiming her identity and building a life on her own terms. Her coaching and storytelling are grounded in raw truth, offering strategies that honour both nervous system regulation and emotional honesty.
As a keynote speaker and consultant, Ilja brings perspective-shifting insight to organisations, leadership panels, and community spaces on topics including masking and neurodivergence in women, life after trauma, and embedding lived experience as expertise. She amplifies survivor voices and shapes trauma-aware cultures through advisory work, workshops, and policy contributions.
Ilja also hosts Dating on High Alert, a podcast exploring the intersections of trauma, attachment, and neurodivergent experience, and creates tools, from 1:1 coaching to digital guides, that help women rebuild confidence, relationships, and self-trust.
