Chris Tuck
Founder of Survivors of Abuse
Christine Tuck is the founder of Survivors of abuse (S.O.B), a UK charity dedicated to supporting adult survivors of childhood abuse and complex trauma. Guided by both professional expertise and her own lived experience of abuse and domestic violence, Christine has made it her life’s work to create safe spaces where survivors can find valuable tools, a vital source of understanding, and the hope for recovery.
Her approach is holistic and trauma-informed. Through her Breaking the Cycle™ / C.L.E.A.N.E.R. Living Therapy programme, Christine integrates mindset, nutrition, fitness, and stress management into recovery, recognising the deep interconnection between body and mind in trauma healing. Through her evidence-informed model, Christine helps survivors to take practical and guided steps towards resilience and long-term wellbeing.
In addition to her work with S.O.B., Christine is also an author and speaker. Her books, Through the Eyes of a Child and Parenting Without Tears, draw on her personal and professional insights to illuminate the impacts of abuse and offer guidance for healthier family dynamics. She has shared her expertise nationally as a member of the Victims and Survivors Consultative Panel for the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse (IICSA), contributing to systemic change in how survivors’ voices are heard and acted upon.
Alongside her charitable leadership, Christine brings a strong professional foundation in management and finance as a qualified member of both AAT and CIMA. This combination of lived experience, therapeutic innovation, and professional rigour shapes her unique approach: blending compassion with structure, healing with empowerment, and advocacy with practical solutions.
Ultimately, for Christine, survivors are not defined by their trauma. Through her charity, workshops, and awareness campaigns, she works to break the silence, reduce stigma, and build communities of support where survivors can not only recover but thrive.
