Ian Kinnery is a business and scale-up coach who works with ambitious founders and leadership teams to help them grow their companies without losing control of their lives in the process.
With more than three decades of experience building, leading, and scaling businesses, Ian brings a perspective rooted in lived reality rather than theory. Before becoming a coach, he owned and ran multiple companies across sectors, including building and scaling his own dealership business, giving him first-hand insight into the pressures and pitfalls of growth.
His move into coaching came from that experience. After reaching a point where his own business success came at a high personal cost, he shifted focus to helping other business owners grow more sustainably.
Since 2005, Ian has worked with entrepreneurs and senior leaders to scale their businesses through highly customised coaching, focusing on leadership development, strategic clarity, and execution. He is also a certified Scaling Up coach and has been recognised internationally, including being named European Coach of the Year.
Rather than offering generic advice, Ian works closely with clients to identify what’s actually holding them back, often focusing on the growth of the leader as much as the growth of the business.
